Overview of worldwide locations

Provodin

Provodin is located in the north of the Czech Republic. The silica sand deposit was formed about 100 million years ago through the near-shore deposition of fine- to medium-grained sands in a shallow sea of the so-called North Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The sands are processed using modern processing techniques into standardized raw materials for the glass, foundry and construction chemistry industries. The company continues the tradition of the 'Ersten Nordböhmischen Glassand- und Sandsteinziegelwerkes Wilhelm Schulz' (First North Bohemian Glass Sand and Sandstone Brickyard Wilhelm Schulz).
