An important aspect in the foundry sector is the production of cores for casting batches. In this case too, Haltern silica sand from the Quarzwerke Group—on account of its characteristic properties—is in a masterfully unique position for the production of cores in aluminium, iron and steel foundries. Furthermore, the foundry sands from our other deposits are also of a very high raw material quality and are also highly suitable for all self-, heat- and gas-hardening processes used in the production of cores.
